Ciliates

These two videos show ciliates in action. The left video is at 200x magnification while the right video is at 100x. As you can see, ciliates are quick and often found zooming around the sample. The presence of a single ciliate (left video) is nothing to be alarmed about but if a sample starts to be overrun with ciliates (right video) the sample is anaerobic and should not be used on your plants.
